About the Role

•Diagnose and address maintenance issues in areas such as plumbing, welding, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and carpentry.
•Perform routine maintenance and repair work on production equipment, including but not limited to presses, destemmers, pumps, conveyors, temperature control systems, bottling line equipment, humidification systems, mixers, electric motors, barrel washers, and air handlers.
•Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks on buildings, including work on water piping, drain lines, rollup doors, locks, gates, signage, and lighting fixtures.
•Adhere to GMP standards and maintain cleanliness in work areas and with tools.
•Respond to emergency maintenance needs, which may require working outside of normal business hours.
•Use a CMMS system to log work orders and document maintenance and repair activities.
•Ensure all work complies with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
•Assist with maintenance and repair of landscaping and irrigation systems.
•Travel between multiple facilities as required.

Requirements

  • Previous industrial maintenance experience, with a preference for experience in winery maintenance (machinery, pumps, electrical distribution, plumbing).

  • Dedication to high standards and quality work.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical principles and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as line diagrams, equipment manuals, and project proposals.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency with computer programs like Word, Excel, MS Teams, and Outlook.

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow effectively.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment, including handling after-hour emergencies.

  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.

  • Understanding and adherence to all safety protocols.

  • Valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record.

  • Experience with wastewater treatment plant operations is a plus.
